Our next monthly walk is on Sunday 9th February, 6.5 miles out to Freshford in the Frome & Avon Valleys.

Out & about on the Bradford on Avon Walking Wheel today. Reported this rickety stile near Wingfield House to Wiltshire Council. It has loads of character but lacks stability, needs plenty of TLC.

Tuesday’s walk will be going ahead - mainly hard surfaces but one 200m section could be mucky. Probably wet in the lanes so please come prepared.
Leaving 09.30 as usual.

Our next monthly walk is on Tuesday 28th January, leaving at 9.30. 6.5 miles climbing North out of town through the lanes of Ashley, round the edge of Cumberwell golf course and back through Woolley and Kingston Farm.

On our 6 mile m, monthly walk this morning. Kennet & Avon Canal just past Avoncliff & beautiful acer tree in Turleigh.

Well, we walked & didn’t get at all wet. Beautiful blue skies, lovely reflections, super scenery. 6 miles.

Tomorrow’s (Tuesday) walk going ahead. Shorter & different route because of flooding. Leave 9.30 as usual from War Memorial.

This 14th century barn was used by the nuns of Shaftesbury Abbey before it became a farm on the dissolution of the monasteries.
