Elon Musk’s AI tool Grok is pointing the finger squarely at its own creator, and the administration he once worked for, for the loss of life during this week’s tragic flooding in Texas.
Grok Is Blaming Musk and Trump for Texas Flooding Deaths
“Facts over feelings,” Grok stated as it ripped into Musk and the current president.

Vance’s Bible citation as shiny and thin as old tin foil.
To the “I voted for this” crowd:

You voted for the guy who gutted the National Weather Service. Now we’ve got dead families and missing kids in Texas, because storm warnings didn’t go out in time. And he gutted FEMA so they can’t properly respond to disasters.

That’s what you voted for?

They should but won’t. Money will silence them like a sock in a gob.
This is a partner in Sequoia Capital in Silicon Valley. Unacceptable. Will the company condemn this?

Yes it may be childish but I scowl at people driving them. Many of whom I’m sure are perfectly fine and decent. They just need to jettison their Tesla and get a new ride as soon as feasible.
Say what you want, but this is working.

Tesla shares are plummeting, and people can’t offload their Teslas fast enough. The NYC protest today is 🔥 —they’re continuing the effort to urge folks to sell their Teslas and dump stock. The brand is toxic. PS—I got rid of my Tesla in 2024.

Antidote to freezing rain and fog over the snowy fields was to make an insane quantity of chili this morning for New Years and to populate the freezer for down the line, 8-9 quarts, 17 ingredients, a black and white on right & classic on left. Should last for months but, if I’m honest, won’t.

A joy to edit & cool learning curve.
Today's bookshop finds. I really love these volumes--101 classics covered in total, each in the space of about 4 expressive, elucidating pages. @bradfordmorrow.bsky.social edited them and contributed a lovely afterword.
