I spent some time this weekend happily puttering in my kitchen making soup and listening to podcasts.

Saturday I made chili, and “Soup Sunday” I did a twofer with chicken & wild rice and cheesy cauliflower soups.

I’ve been enjoying my morning cup of green tea lately. This is Dragon Pearl Jasmine from Harney & Sons, in “a cup of love” mug my mom gave me a few years ago.

As always, this is a great episode! It brought up SO many memories, and I found myself wishing I was a guest and could share my own examples. 😆

Great work, Sonia and Margo!

It’s only about “merit” when they want to keep non-white people out of whatever “it” is. They never seem to look at qualifications when it’s whiteness elevating whiteness but they will check every credential when it’s anybody else.

All my life my mom - a former teacher and librarian - has completed several crossword puzzles a day. Whenever I tried to do one I’d get frustrated and give up. So I stopped trying.

But in the last two weeks I tried again and finished a bunch of crosswords! I feel like I’ve evolved into a new era.

“In Pieces” by Sally Field is a fantastic audiobook. It gets pretty intense at times. I love listening to people read their own memoirs.

I was set to watch season two of Shrinking - but I couldn’t remember a lot about season one so I re-watched it first. I’m so glad I did, because I forgot how good the S1 last episode is!
