Finished Metroid II. Its a good game, it was fun to play it again after so long, and this colour mod really added a lot. I like their colour choices.

Why is bowling with the small ball considered the kiddy easy version but bowling with the bigger ball that hits so many more of the pins the hard adult version.

Really enjoying this Metroid 2 mod that colourises it. They have some nice colours. The greens especially.

It bugs me when people talk about old games like they're these inscrutable things where you're tossed in with no idea who you are, where you are, and what you're supposed to do. They'll probably toss in the word "liminal" several times.
But these games had manuals that took pains to explain things!

I don't get the people who make how to videos in a purely linear fashion. Like they go: "Here's all the parts you'll need" then 5 minutes later go "oh I forgot to add this part" then they'll say how to do something then 10 minutes later say that was wrong.
Videos can be edited! Footage re-shot!

Just beat the romhack XFusion. It was very impressive, a lot of the time I felt more like I was playing a Fusion romhack with Super Metroid stuff added in rather than a Fusion remake in Super Metroid.
On a technical level it was amazing, and most of the area design was great too. But it really-

Yes, I get it, you're an amazing player of the game, but just because for you doing a frame perfect input for some exploit is super easy making it in to a required game mechanic drags down the experience and ruins all the good work you did. So stop it. or else
