@nashseverewx.com Good example of 'dont be out on the lake' and dont be trying to continue to fish. I think after the first hit I woulda cut the line and got out of the water. Dont have context but thats a big nope from me tho.

Getting old means having a breakfast of the most vile foods 13 year old you could imagine. Yes a thing of black cherry yogurt, a bowl of cottage cheese with raisins and a drizzle of honey, and a glass of grape juice. Yup Old+1

Ok YouTube, I watched one or two music videos 2 weeks ago. You can stop recommending every 90's hip-hop banger, I just wanted to hear one song and send it to a friend. You can go back to the normal crap recommendations of drain clearing and police chases Im not all music all the time ya know.

@nashseverewx.com looking at the HRRR's sigtor and supercell comp has my anxiety super peaked. Im I just an ignorant person looking at those and missing the bigger picture or what? I feel y'all have taught just enough to be dangerous on reading the HRRR outputs. Obv Low Prob High Impact event.

@nashseverewx.com least of your worries but the website is throwning an error. I still use your radar as my go to. Also thank y'all so much. We in it for the long haul today, and it sucks.

That speech and thinking about 2 more of them just really brings me down. Some say 'get fired up' and I just dont think I can at this point. Im doing what I can and welp that just doesnt matter much it seems. Especially in this state.

This wind can fuck right off. Tired of 45+ mph gusts that are almost constant enough to be considered sustained. And I think we are going up to 50-60mph tonight

I have written a short statement responding to mass firings today of #NOAA / National Weather Service (#NWS) staff (which were concentrated among recent hires as well as highly experienced staff who had recently been promoted). Please see below screenshot & below for full text.

This mass layoff in NOAA hits hard when we are coming into major weather season here. While @nashseverewx.com are a group of total badasses for keeping us informed, without NOAA and NWS the weather reporting falls apart. The tools everyone depends on for life saving predictions could go poof.

Bought 2 used hard drives. And I know logically hard drives get shipped all the time. Right now my brain is having issues with the packing done to those used drives. Which honestly was pretty good. Yet brain is like 'they could have been damaged' meanwhile every hd is shipped like this.

Of course when I turn my server back on a hard drive goes bad. At least had a spare here. Now to ebay another one for backup yet again. Sigh, now its rebuilding. Makes no sense controller said its good but wouldnt let me do anything. Put in another drive and its rebuilding RAID now.

Well that took all night. Removing News and Politics follows and moved them to lists. Hate removing a follow but no way to hide them from the feed like you can on Mastodon. But I needed a way to turn off that noise from time to time.
December 16, 2024 at 6:08 AM
Think I have to vastly change how I use this site. No more 'river of news' think its going to be paring down follows to very little but have a bunch of lists. So I can tune out certain topics yet still have a social media presence I like. The old ways need to adapt to the new.

At least 15 people are sick in Minnesota from ground beef tied to E. coli recall
