In 2025, I lost two people to cancer, two people I admired, looked up to, and cared for. A third, my oldest friend, is also living with it. I kindly ask you to support them and indeed everyone who has endured cancer by donating to this campaign.

Thank you.

George Beardshaw, 102, is the last known British Home Child. In 1938, he was sent to a Canadian household that mistreated him. Despite this, he still served his adopted nation in WWII. Read his tale in my Legion Magazine article.

My latest Legion Magazine story is a special one, an interview with 102-year-old Canadian WW II veteran George Beardshaw. Originally from Yorkshire, U.K., he is also thought to be the last living Home Child.

Thank you, sir, for your time - and service.

Just read Mark Stille’s recent book on Pearl Harbor that exams in detail the background, planning, attacks & aftermath of the attack. This excellent book also looks at the culpability of senior officers & acts to dispel the many myths that surround this event. Highly recommended. #HistoryBookChat
