Snowy walk after lunch and before the vintermøde afternoon talks - what a great idea! Should be part of every conference to avoid the post-lunch slump. ❄️🐄🇩🇰

Doomed to hotel treadmill by late sunrise and snow in Denmark today. Hate the treadmill but it's better than falling when it's -5C. 🏃‍♀️❄️😢🇩🇰 #RunSafe

Nice to see that dairy is being taken seriously at Billund airport in Denmark - Arla sign at the bus stop and cows on the bedroom wall at the airport hotel! 🐄🥛🧀🇩🇰

2023 was a good year for reading. Aimed to read 135 #books, ended the year on 152. Some absolute crackers in there - wonder how many I’ll achieve in 2024? 📚

Absolutely amazing evening of pantomime last night watching my brilliant brother “PC World” and friends perform Aladdin at Princes Hall. Superb! (Oh yes it was!).

What a booklicious Christmas it has been.

On Christmas Day we finally opened the can of WSU Creamery Cougar Gold cheese that’s been in the fridge since 2011.

Aged for 13 years, 1 month and 24 days, it’s beyond amazing.

Lovely to think the dairy students that I taught milked the cows whose milk made this cheese. 🧀 🐄

Every year I make a new ornament for the Christmas tree. This year it’s a needle-felted snowman. Finished it with 24 hours to spare.

Best graffiti ever at London Heathrow? Cartoon plane labelled as an Airbus 380. 😂

First festive mince pie on November 8th? Couldn’t resist any longer.

I’ve let myself down, I’ve let my family down and I’ve let the school down. 🙄

Sir Michael Morpurgo reading Dylan Thomas, HRH Princess Anne on brilliant form, Prosecco, fabulous conversations with amazing colleagues, then a cheese pretzel from Borough Market to top it all off. What a lush afternoon with Harper Adams.

Halloween marks the end of #BreastCancer month. Do remember to check your pumpkins - #cancer was responsible for the two worst "tricks" of my life. 🎃🎃 #survivor

On a train, being forced (by my daughter) to play with this glittery bizarre creation. Now I’m craving marshmallow peeps! 🐥

Scariest butcher I’ve ever seen. Shades of Sweeney Todd? 🥧

Delicious though it was, there’s something slightly odd about eating a bagel shaped like a dog. 🥯

Great discussions about sustainability and consumer perceptions of meat and dairy with HAU MSc students this morning, then a night run in the rain in my favourite city tonight. Lush day. 🥩 🥛 🏃🏻‍♀️

What an amazing show on Friday night at Oxford’s Apollo Theatre (admittedly it’s been the “New Theatre” for about 30 years but it’ll always be the Apollo) - Miriam Margolyes in conversation with Fi Glover. Utterly magnificent! So funny and so wise and so utterly lovely! ❤️❤️❤️

Out on farm last week talking about the ABP PRISM2030 programme and seeing Mobberley Angus’s grazing suckler cattle and breeding bull operation. Just look at these gorgeous guys.
