Proud papa of PNGs (I had help)
This is our most exciting release in a while, and that's part of the plan. Layout is cool, but we're building up to "layout++" — a combination of user-friendly layout and styling tools we haven't seen in a modern open source CMS before.
Release day! ApostropheCMS 4.23.0 is out (and it's a good one). LAYOUT is now in core, a new widget that offers an in-context layout building experience. Drag'em, drop'em, stretch'em, hide'em on mobile. Check out the preview. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppFd...

The coolest retrocomputing project possible: a Scheme interpreter for my TRS-80.

This would involve:

* Learning to love Z-80 Assembly Language
* "Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs"
* A year of free time

... That last one is tricky #scheme #programming #trs80 #retrocomputing

Or... hear me out here... the giant media corporations could just profit from the licenses they already have while refusing to bow to fascists, and delay their monopolistic deals a mere four years. Hey it's an option.

I have early access to some of my favorite webcomics because I support them on Patreon. I'm not sure if I like it. It replaces a calm pre-work morning routine with awareness of someone else's stress level 😀 Happy to be a financial supporter though!

Congratulations to the authors of the #PNG image format Version 3 spec! Fantastic to see PNG growing in many good directions, and it looks like it's a collaborative process reminiscent of PNG's early days.

@planetmoney.bsky.social I know it's messy but... Trump calls them reciprocal tariffs at only 50% of the other guy's tariff. Other countries say that's wildly off. Roughly speaking: who's right?

People, including me, have been confused about the goals of Economic Blackout Day. We're wonks and we expect wonky details. But this is simple.

It isn't necessary to lay out every goal in precise detail. Step one is just: "hey! We're here. You're not all-powerful. Watch your step."

Hey #philly, how early do I really need to show up for the #PFS best picture weekend screenings? It's a single ticket sold in advance so I already have that part nailed down. Thanks.

#AWS tip: if you ever tried "workspaces" (aka desktops in the cloud) in AWS, you're probably still paying for "Directory Services" connected to that. I had to look this up and then delete "corp.amazonworkspaces.com" from "Directory Services" to stop bleeding $35/mo.
