The breakup of the largest floating object on earth, iceberg A23A, is a yet another sign of pending destruction of ecosystems and extinction of species, including humans.

The good news is that ecologists say the Earth will be fine: nature will survive. Just without us.

What a joy to make! This is a needlebook, designed by Suzanne Bruno in my southern Maine chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America (EGA). I learned several new bead embroidery skills. 🪡

The flowers are teeny glass seed beads in many shades of purple, and the leaves are thin variegated silk ribbon. A embroidered needlebook in cream, with seed beads for lavender flowers, an olive green edging made of glass seed beads and natural-looking silk ribbon comprising the leaves and book binding. Inside of a needlebook, with two needles, one threaded with gold floss.
