HAPPY BIRTHDAY - JIM PLATT #1

Happy 73rd birthday to one of our greatest ever goalkeepers, the legend, Jim Platt.

On a personal note, Jim has been a huge supporter of the Boro Shirt Museum project, for which we’ll be forever grateful.

OSVALDO GIROLDO JÚNIOR #10

Juninho had fought back from a serious cruciate ligament injury during the ‘02/03 season, before playing a key role in the ‘04 League Cup success.

Here’s one of his shirts from that special day, complete with the unique vinyl nameset that we used.

We were saddened to hear that Harry Laverick recently passed away after he lost his brave battle with cancer. He was a lifelong Boro fan, having held a season ticket for more than 25 years. Our thoughts go out to Harry's family and friends at this sad time. RIP Harry. 💔

Henry Moszkowicz was an envelope magnate based in London who responded to an advert placed in the Times by Steve Gibson in 1986. Gibson needed a £200,000 investment in the football club to prevent it from collapsing into the abyss. Moszkowicz eventually invested £300,000...⬇️

ALEN BOKŠIĆ

Bokšić was a dynamic, physically strong, and prolific forward, who was renowned for his technique, skill, creativity, movement and power.

Arriving at Boro with a great pedigree, there’s no doubting that on his day he was almost unplayable, albeit a mercurial talent.

Hummel x Boro in the 1980's were a match made in heaven. Those iconic chevrons on those long sleeves. Just incredible. 🔻◽🔻◽

ADAMA TRAORÉ DIARRA #37

A product of La Masia, he offered so much, with unworldly pace & power, coupled with exceptional ball control, albeit unpredictable, he was unplayable at times. A raw talent, that was as frustrating as he was exciting.

One thing is for certain, he knew how to raise bums…

JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK #9

Reaching the UEFA Cup Final in Eindhoven on 10th May 2006 created memories to last a lifetime for Boro fans. Those euphoric nights at the Riverside. The comeback kings of Europe. Massimo's diving header. Just glorious. Share your memories with us.

Big John Hickton was my first #Boro centre forward hero!

A proper #9

That shirt is not only iconic but my favourite away kit! 👏

I’ve even got shares in a racehorse named after Big John - “Hickton” he’s having his winter break at the moment!

JOHN HICKTON #9

Stan Anderson brought John Hickton to Teesside from Sheffield Wednesday in 1966 for £20,000. A powerful, decisive, archetypical centre forward, big John was prolific in his distinguished career with the Boro. Don't forget about those legendary penalties either.

🚩| We’re pleased to announce that we are now the official custodian of this magnificent and historic flag.

We have some big plans for next year, and if everything aligns as we hope, this flag will be centrepiece (as it truly deserves).
