It seemed like a giant step for humankind but American hate made it be baby steps.
It's ONLY been 65 years since six year old Ruby Bridges walked through the halls of William Frantz Elementary as the first Black child to attend an all white school. Met with mobs and hate, her bravery and courage helped change the course of history for this nation.

I always wondered if American villains and villainy were not figments of any imaginations but snapshots of reality set to soundtracks. I need no longer wonder.
It was always a bit of a struggle, but it used to be possible to suspend disbelief when watching films and TV set in contemporary America and believe the heroes actually were heroic, the cause worth fighting for. I find I can't do that anymore.
