Book Tracker v4.3 is here!
This update is packed with fresh design, smarter widgets, powerful automation, and new ways to enjoy your library. Let’s dive in 👇
Reading challenges are a personal ritual.
Some people set a number of books, others aim for more slow reading or want to read outside their comfort zone.

I am curious about your experience.

Did you set a reading challenge this year?
And what kind of challenge would you like to try next year?

This review stood out to me because it reflects exactly how many readers use Book Tracker in practice.
Seeing how people integrate the app into their reading routines helps me understand what actually works and what I should keep improving.

Good design should disappear.

Every detail in Book Tracker is built to stay out of the way so you can focus on what matters: your books.

No clutter, no extra buttons, no distractions.
Just a calm, beautiful space to organize your library.

I’ve always believed that tracking what you read isn’t about numbers.

It’s about remembering how a book made you feel, where you were when you finished it, and why it mattered.

Book Tracker helps you see your reading journey as a story, one you’re still writing every day.

If you love reading book series, you know how easy it is to lose track of the right order.

In Book Tracker, you can organize every series and assign a number to each title.

Open the Series page, tap the three dots in the top corner, and select Order Series.

Reading isn’t a race.
It’s a routine, a moment you create for yourself each day.

That’s why Book Tracker is designed to be quiet and distraction-free.
No feeds, no ads, no pressure to read more.

Just a calm space to track your progress and enjoy every page.

Some books stay with you because of a single line.

That’s why I added the Quotes section in Book Tracker.
You can save your favorite sentences while reading and revisit them anytime.

It’s a small detail, but it turns your library into something deeply personal.

Privacy isn’t a feature, it’s a foundation.

Book Tracker doesn’t need an account, doesn’t track your activity, and never shows ads.
Your entire library, notes, and reading progress stay safely in iCloud, only accessible to you.

No data sharing. No analytics. Just your books.

Your library is more than a list of books, it’s a timeline of who you were when you read them.

That’s what inspired Book Tracker’s design: a calm space to browse your collection and see how your reading evolved.

No ads, no noise, just you and your books.

Do you set reading goals each year? I wanted Book Tracker’s goal system to feel motivating, not stressful.

You can add your yearly challenge, track how many books you’ve finished, and see your reading pace evolve month by month.

Every screen in Book Tracker — every icon, color, and line of code, is something I designed myself.

I don’t have a team or a company behind me.
It’s just me, my Mac, and a lot of late nights trying to make everything feel right.

I often get asked: How is Book Tracker different from Goodreads?
The short answer: it’s built for readers, not for algorithms.

Goodreads is great if you want to share reviews or connect socially.
But if you just want a clean, private space to organize your library, that’s where Book Tracker shines.

Keeping track of your reading shouldn’t feel like work.
That’s why I designed Book Tracker to make adding and organizing books effortless.

You can search by title or ISBN, scan a barcode in seconds, or add details manually.
Everything is synced with iCloud, privately, across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Every time a friend recommended a movie or a TV show, I thought, “I’ll save it somewhere”.
But then I’d forget the title. Notes, screenshots, text messages, nothing worked.

I wanted one place to keep all those suggestions organized, along with the movies I’d already watched.

A few years ago, my wife kept accidentally buying the same books twice.
She’s a passionate reader, but her collection was so big that she couldn’t remember what she already owned.

In recent days, we've seen a lot of discussions around the issues with generative AI in reading apps. Unfortunately, these technologies have produced not only problematic but also racist and exclusionary responses, raising concerns across the community.
