One thing about the English local elections today - we’ll have a pretty robust map of racist 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 by the end of tomorrow.

Congrats to Lincolnshire voting for change: by electing someone who was in power for the last 14 years, jumped ship to Reform at the last minute and someone even Liz Truss only reluctantly entrusted a low-level govt position to #election #localelections

My Top 10 prediction for #eurovision tonight.

Assuming no other acts get banned of course…

Was a bit underwhelmed by #eurovision tonight. It had some gems in there but I thought Tuesday had better entries. Still a great show of course.

Very excited for #eurovision tonight. Tuesday set a high bar and now I’m ready for more weird shit.

NHS paying up to £2,000 for an agency Nurse’s shift. The owners of the agency get ~50%.

NHS Privatisation means paying more for less. It is nothing more than a way to funnel public money into private hands at extraordinary speed.

You couldn't make this up. Johnson introduced photo ID as a deliberate attempt to rig the vote, knowing that poorer and younger people were less likely to possess it than the older, more settled Tory base. He promised it wouldn't make voting more difficult. He lied. Now ...

It would be nice if we got to keep some of the profits of running our essential train service instead of foreign wealth funds benefitting.

Or, you know, just making it marginally cheaper.

Great, and important, to see us exceeding NATO minimum spending but the quality of the spending is paramount! If this is going to be hoovered up by Capita then no one (apart from their shareholders) will benefit.
Rishi Sunak, speaking alongside NATO’s Jens Stoltenberg, announced that Britain will hit 2.5 percent of defense spending by the end of the decade.

Just a quick reminder that the Tories STILL haven’t made ANY meaningful progress on legislating AI. The EU implemented its European AI Act months ago and we haven’t even started.

All we have is Sunak fanboy interviewing Elon. There is no preparation for us in the UK.

The Rwanda bill is so cartoonishly-badly written legislation it’s almost irrelevant that the Commons has passed it. It might as well have ACME printed across it. We’re going to see it fail and fall apart across the summer.
