A woman came in today and literally begged me to get her surgery done before the end of the year because she’s facing an insurance premium that’s tripleing in just a few weeks and she won’t be able to afford her insurance, nor her surgery, after January 1st. Thanks Republicans.

If a drug dealer is selling large quantities of dope in American communities, police are expected to arrest them. If a police officer intentionally, extrajudicially kills a drug dealer, that officer would be guilty of murder.

I order dozens of MRIs every week. Every single time I do, I explain to the patient my concerns and what we’re looking for on the MRI. They always know the body part being studied, the indications for the study, and my concerns. Every doctor does the same.

I’m just an orthopedic surgeon, but even I know that there is no such thing as a cardiac and abdominal MRI performed as a screening study in a 79 year old. It’s just not done. His doctors were concerned about something.
