Not only is it Railway 200 but it is 175 years since Cardiff Central opened. Today this station is the link in the middle of the South Wales Metro. So my final look at the lines that made up the Metro looks at a tiny bit of the GWR.

Glad to hear that there are no serious injuries at Shap. It is a testament to modern design that the train stayed upright and in one piece. Hope the driver is Ok as well, not good to hit a landslip!

Crewe as I remember it in 1982. A class 33 arrived from Cardiff on a service up the Weak Marches. Waiting to push it's stock out from platform 7 and run round, before shunting it back and heading out again.
