Trump watches Putin invade Ukraine and Xi posture over Taiwan, and the comparison exposes his insecurity.

So he reaches for Greenland and Venezuela not as strategy but as salve for his ego.

It’s playground politics.

Rob Reiner stood for fairness, decency, & accountability.

Reiner’s “A Few Good Men” draws a sharp line between authority rooted in responsibility and authority enforced by intimidation.

Reiner embodied authority grounded in responsibility, whereas Trump embodies authority grounded in intimidation.

Legacy Anxiety?
Self-Mythologizing?
Insecurity Masked as Grandeur?

Few DOGE members have Washington experience.

Many are software engineers.

All have a mandate to shrink and disrupt the Federal Government.

And they are all unelected.

According to the CBS NEWS Poll,

52% of Americans support Ukraine.
4% support Russia.

What do you call a politician who imposes policies the vast majority of Americans reject?

In an authoritarian government, power is concentrated in the hands of a single leader with few (if any) checks on power.

Just an FYI: Medicaid fraud is rarely perpetrated by beneficiaries. The fraudsters are almost always the doctors and CEO's that administer Medicaid. For example: when a doctor charges the government $600 for an $8 breast pump and pockets the cash and the third party administrator takes a cut.
