In order to secure votes from Alaska’s Republican delegation, the "The Big Beautiful Bill” exempts Alaska from some of the most harmful parts of the legislation. That’s right—they carved out special protections for Alaska’s Medicaid and SNAP (food stamps). Because they know how horrible it it.

I love @foxnews spinning what is happening in California. As a lifelong Californian we all feel the same way: stay out of our state. As the the 4th largest economy in the world the last thing we need is help from a feckless president who couldn't manage or legislate his way out of a wet paper bag.

@reince.bsky.social on the morning news shows seems to have forgotten that in America people are innocent until proven guilty. But then again the Republicans don't seem to believe in the judicial system or the constitution so there is that.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.
I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!
