Strange to think but last time Labour were in power, there wasn't really much social media, let alone the kind of agenda-bending 24/7 politicised SM we now have.

One problem with SM is that it enables people to make an actual living by being professional 'opposers' of things. They will push their followers to wildly oppose mild issues as vehemently as v serious issues, and treat both with equally superficial standards of evidence. Awful for public discourse
