Moment of Zen: When your newly diagnosed #GBM patient starting therapy today on a clinical trial brings you lemons from their yard in rural Northern California - “When life gives you lemons, you just roll with it.” Our patients are our best teachers.

Today was a heavy day - spoke to my #DIPG family about their child’s progression and then spoke to a younger (for adult world, that is) #GBM patient who has not yet started therapy despite our team’s outreach & came in with progression. Trying to hold space today for our patients and families.

I have friends/family who don't understand why I'm "so upset over politics". The thing is, I've worked & lived all my life for beliefs that are now being attacked--that science moves us forward, that education leads to opportunity, that kindness can outdo bigotry, & that diversity is celebrated.
