Our work supports locally managed marine areas (LMMAs) that help communities set their own fishing rules, restore reefs and look for alternative ways to make a living.

Coastal communities protecting our oceans need secure land rights. Without legal recognition of their homes, fishers face eviction for tourism, development and even conservation projects.

No secure tenure = no sustainable ocean management.
