Trying to stay hopeful, but worried about where we all are and getting angrier every day. Starting to cuss a lot.

Discovering hobbies that make me happy, like gardening and woodworking. I have two full time jobs - my regular one and caregiver to my mom.

It’s rather interesting that after Herbert Hoover basically destroyed the American economy in 1929 to 1933, still 41% of Americans voted for him rather than FDR.
That 41% will never change.

Black Friday was never about deals. It was about control.

Black Friday made them billions.
Let’s make this year cost them.

Good Lord, this administration is full of the most petty, vile and unprofessional people. Scroll down to the major events timeline and look through it. This is on a government web page…

Sitting in my car about to head into a fed job that has become a daily nightmare (but grateful I still have a paycheck and friends at work to deal with the bs) — if we make it through this, there had better be accountability and punishment. None of that let’s move on and forgive shit anymore.

Tonight was cooler so perfect time to plant some coreopsis plants. I hope they live in the hot #florida sun. UPS guy stopped and gave me a basil plant that one of his drop offs gave him - said he had a brown thumb. A nice surprise, and a reminder most people are inherently good. 🌱 #bloomscrolling

Well, mom’s lab work this morning has to be rescheduled. Woke to the sound of her shuffling around in kitchen “eating breakfast” which consisted of pb & banana sandwich… not a big deal to reschedule and the flowers are blooming nicely. I’ll put up reminder signs next time. #eldercare #bloomscolling

Taking sick leave for the whole day to get mom to two dr appointments and then hopefully get my hair cut after three months. Meanwhile, just got a call from my brother asking if I could send some money for an “emergency” - didn’t even ask how she was doing. I hate my family at this point. #eldercare

Spent the last few minutes staring at a wasps starting to build a nest above the garage door. Was going to knock it down so they would fly somewhere else to rebuild, but decided not to. Whatever. With everything falling apart, potentially getting stung by an annoyed wasp isn’t a big deal.

I’m confused about the pundits and politicians saying “this isn’t America,” “violence is never the answer,” etc. Yes, the Charlie Kirk shooting is horrible but what world are these people living in. This is, and has been America for awhile and it’s only going to get worse before/if it gets better.

Back from the grocery store. The line waiting to purchase Powerball tickets stretched from the customer service desk down to the wine section and over into the freezer aisle. It was funny and sad at the same time. I read there’s a higher chance of being killed by a vending machine than winning.

I know immigration is complicated, but our shared humanity doesn’t have to be. What is happening with ice raids is inhumane and we need to be the voice of people who have no voice right now.

Speak up, even when they tell you to shut up.
