Ye, author of bugfix mod was twiking said the last patch this ending was present was 1.1.
They been using that data for installing the ending into mod.
After that the ending was clipped - for some time was considered a mistake - turned out to be a final decision

No , i got word from Owlcat CM today that ending was cut due to lore problems interested sides had with it. And that it was long and uneasy conversation for Owlcat.

The ending was scraped about a year ago. I see no reason for it to be Owlcat's own doing since it creates unnecessary backlash for them , unless GW has something to do with it
