We've reverted the start-up process for Bloqbit to its state prior to Rust experimentation. To our self-hosters, you may re-enable "Always Update" (formerly "Auto-Update") to get the latest build when restarting your server.

Over recent weeks, we've been considering and experimenting with the integration of Rust programming into Bloqbit. We aim to optimize some critical operations such as data storage and caching, to ensure a smoother user experience!

We've migrated Bloqbit from using MongoDB to instead use MariaDB as its database model. This means faster response times, and even better long-term support for features that rely on data storage. For self-hosters, this also means a more familiar setup process!

By giving people the freedom to explore themselves, we open up so many beautiful opportunities for them and others around them. Bloqbit's development is driven by passion - passion that would otherwise never have been if the freedom were suppressed. Do what you love, always! Happy Pride Month!
