Interview done ✅

Maybe I should believe in myself more because I feel like I did really well ☺️

Now there's no preparation to be done I can fully enjoy a book in the evenings again 👌

Bluesky in comparison to X:

✅ Kinder
✅ Friendlier
✅ More supportive
✅ Less hate
✅ More book related engagement
✅ No penalty for posting links

👎 More politics
👎 More RTs on the timeline
👎 Less users

Overall, bluesky wins if I could only pick one. I feel like this is now my 'main social app'

I've scratched my cornea right on the pupil putting a bird feeder out and pinged a sharp tree branch straight into my eye.

I now can't see out of it.

I've got a massive important interview on Monday & I told myself I'd think more positively.

This is the best I can do...

I wish I wasn't like this;

Whenever I have a job interview lined up, I feel such a sense of dread for days before, even if I'm prepared. It's such bad anxiety and I don't even know why but it stops me focusing on anything, I even struggle to focus on the interview prep itself.

There's an owl outside somewhere nearby but I don't know where.

I've always wanted to see a wild owl and a wild woodpecker but it's never happened.

It's hooting as it to say "you will never find me even though I'm loud as fuck"

Wyrd Sisters is my current car listen and Indira Varma is an absolutely fantastic voice actor 👌

This is my favourite Discworld so far and gives me renewed optimism that I will love some of the series afterall ...

As the creator of #Norsevember, I wish you a pleasant time of year and hope you're finding time to celebrate Northern myths, history, influences, traditions and stories.

Magic and myth arrives with the onset of the cold. ❄️

Hoping to have a bit of content over the month.

I find it fascinating how we change with age.

Obviously most people mature and get wiser.

But part of my inner self would love to go on a weekend away and drink all the beer (never happens now!) and the other half of me now gets excited by garden centres and tending to the garden.

I'm slowly moving over here from twitter.

I may have loads less followers, but at least people talk and interact here sometimes 💪

Shock; I didn't get any of my planned reading done, but read a book about garden birds.

I think I've reached my mad professor era. This is how my hair now looks when not in public - which these days is 99% of the time 😅

This time last year I was so excited to get into Discworld and was convinced the Death series would be perfect for me.

Unfortunately, 3 books in realised I mostly only liked the Death parts. I'm going to try again with Guards! Guards! and hope that hits the spot better.

I want to share an indie book I really loved.

The Saga of Ádís Rauðfeldr by Siobhan Clark reads like Nordic folklore. A tale with magic, myth, monsters beautifully told.

I'd love it if more readers gave it a try or knew about it!
