These people who are trillionaires.. What do they want? Like, What are they hoping to buy with all of this money? Pomp/Status? Is it like a hoarding situation, collecting more wealth than anyone could possibly ever spend, at to the detriment of basically the rest of the world?

I wonder why spacecraft capable of interstellar and/or interdimentional travel need so many flashing lights. Seems a little "showy".
