Gotta love it & especially now, more than ever, our stories need to be told, shared, published, lauded, read, enjoyed. #StorehouseVoices

I finally saw the #BaldwinInTurkey exhibition at the Brooklyn Library. While small, it was so lovely & I just felt the love in the photos. Now Inspired to go home & book my trip to Istanbul... chasing Baldwin

Do you know what today is??
Jan 6th.
Do you remember where you were, what you saw, how you felt?
You should also remember that there are some who want you to believe it was done in the spirit of "freedom."
It wasn't.
#4moreyears sigh!!

You know when you're looking for that thing called "permission to" in all places other than yourself? The need for someone to give you permission to do XYZ.

Consider PERMISSION granted for 2025 because you are allowed...

Happy New Year to you & yours

Sometimes, we unknowingly limit ourselves, staying within barriers that no longer serve us. This image a powerful metaphor 4 how we can feel ‘stuck’ despite having the freedom to move forward. Step back, reassess, and realize that the gate is open, and the path to growth is ours to take

It seems like it's been a long year, but the days are quickly ending.
Can you believe in 4 days, it's all over, & yet beginning.

I don't think my child would go here. What are they going to teach them?

As we are just days away from Christmas (& a possible Gov shutdown), what is your Christmas wish?
December 20, 2024 at 5:43 PM
I've been trying to get in the "holiday spirit." I took myself into Manhattan to look at the lights. Honestly, most are boring, but this 'star' is new. It changes colors & that never happened before.

There are so many of them out there, which is a great thing, but which one has stayed with you the longest, left deep impact? Which story can't you forget??
Tell me yours, I'll tell you mine.

Nikki Giovanni’s “When I Die:”
when i die i hope no 1 who ever hurt me cries
& if they cry i hope their eyes fall out
& a million maggots that had made up their brains
crawl from the empty holes & devour the flesh
that covered the evil that passed itself off as a person
that i probably tried
to love

This is not what they mean when they ask "is this the face of a "killer'?" ( not suggesting this IS the killer & as we know, innocent until proved guilty)
Luigi Mangione's mugshot has been released. Mangione is suspected of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

I can't believe that the year is just about over. While I don't believe in resolutions (I think it puts too much pressure on folks to "complete" what they say), I do think putting/ trying to change your mindset is a good thing.
So, I'm going to try.
What about you? What will 2025 look like for you?
