POV, Kennedy Ctr. ✈️ Wichita to #DCA (60 pass./4 crew) collided midair w/an Army Black Hawk 🚁, both crashing into the #Potomac. 💙 No survivors had been found as of late PM, and police have pulled multiple bodies from the water. Several members of U.S. figure skating were aboard the plane.

• Reagan National Airport is closed until 5 a.m. Thursday.

Obama's Inauguration. Some friends finally convinced me to get off the 🛋️ & schlep up there, landing east of the Capitol reflecting pool. So close, very surreal. In all my photos of that day, everyone is smiling. All 4 million strangers & me grinning like fools. 😅 But I agree, feels so distant now.
