I had the pleasure of meeting with wonderful colleagues to bang out ths piece. It's a difficult time to be an autism scientist, but I'm hoping some good will come of this renewed focus on autism.
This conversation/reaction to Trump, RFK Jr., and Makary's remarks on autism yesterday with @htagerf.bsky.social, Autism Science Foundation president Alison Singer, epidemiologist @bklee.bsky.social, and writer @ericmgarcia.bsky.social is excellent. Worth a read for sure.
