Proudly serving as Brooklyn’s 20th Borough President.
On the eve of Shavuot, a disgusting, antisemitic attack took place in Boulder. My thoughts are with all those impacted.

Our Jewish neighbors should not have to fear for their safety in public spaces. From Brooklyn to Boulder, we must root out antisemitism in all its forms.

Pride is more than a celebration – it’s protest, resistance, and the ongoing fight for justice.

This month and every month, we honor the generations of Brooklynites who refused to let the love, joy, and identity of the LGBTQIA+ community be erased. Happy Pride, Brooklyn!

Devastating proposal by the Trump admin to slash rental assistance by 40% and effectively end Section 8 housing vouchers.

Growing up, Section 8 housing helped my family survive an otherwise unaffordable housing market. This hurts.

Trump budget would slash rental aid by 40% -- and let states fill the gap if they want
The proposal would cut off rental subsidies after two years for able-bodied adults. Advocates warn if enacted, the White House plan would tip many low-income renters over the edge into homelessness.

The Holocaust is not distant history in Brooklyn, where many Holocaust survivors call home.

On Yom HaShoah and every day, it's our responsibility to remember the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust and honor the stories of those who survived.

I join Catholics across Brooklyn mourning the death of Pope Francis.

Pope Francis was a fierce advocate for peace and defender for the rights of migrants across the globe. His advocacy and humility will leave an impact for generations to come.

May he rest in peace.

Great to talk with 12th graders at YDE Boys High School last week!

What made the visit extra special? Reconnecting with one of my old teachers, Mr. Ercole, who’s now teaching students at YDE. Even a borough as big as Brooklyn is a small world!
