I guess this is as good a time as any to tell people Ypsilanti is pronounced "IP-si-LAN-tee." The school district's response to ICE abductions of parents dropping their kids off at school shows they're preparing to fight and this may become another focus in the media.

in 2024 i was always hearing "it sucks, but dems have to follow the polling" on immigration, which had them backing extreme far right wing bills on the border. now that there's been a huge shift to the left in polling, the response is "how about 1/100th of what you guys want". funny how that works.
