🇪🇸 FINAL DAY IN SPAIN. What a way to end our first birding trip abroad. An unexpected little bittern and AN EAGLE OWL!!!!! Feel so lucky to get those two final species. We saw 113 species with 29 lifers. I’ve loved sharing my day reports with you all, thank you 🫶🏼 #birds @seobirdlife.bsky.social

🇪🇸 FINAL DAY IN SPAIN. What a way to end our first birding trip abroad. An unexpected little bittern and AN EAGLE OWL!!!!! Feel so lucky to get those two final species. We saw 113 species with 29 lifers. I’ve loved sharing my day reports with you all, thank you 🫶🏼 #birds @seobirdlife.bsky.social

🇪🇸 DAY 8 in Spain. 3 lifers and what a lovely day. Our focus today primarily was waterfowl species. Highlights were Purple Heron, Squacco Heron, Swamphen, White Stork, Spoonbill, Black-Winged Stilt, Glossy Ibis and Hoopoe. #birds @seobirdlife.bsky.social

🇪🇸 DAY 6. Lovely walk around Parque del Príncipe in Cáceres. Highlights were LSW, Black Redstart, Spanish Sparrow and one of my favourite birds in Spain, the beautiful Iberian Magpie. Ended the day at Arrocampo watching the sunset and starling murmuration alongside a hunting black-winged kite #birds

🇪🇸 DAY 5 in Spain. One new lifer (rock sparrow) on a lovely walk. Rain stopped the birding early but happy to finally get a shot of a Sardinian Warbler, plus a (semi) out of season Hoopoe. #birds

🇪🇸 DAY 4! What a day to remember. Lovely hike up to Castillo de la Culebra seeing Blue Rock Thrush, Black Wheatear, Alpine Swift, Crag Martin, Cranes, Thekla’s Lark, Sardinian Warbler, Serin and Rock Bunting. Also on the reservoir we saw Black-Winged Stilt and Kentish Plover 🥺. 5 more lifers! #birds

A top day in Cornwall today. Baird's Sandpiper, Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper and Curlew Sandpiper. Two lifers and brilliant experiences. Had some lovely chats with birders too. Couldn't have asked for a better day. #UKBirding

Lovely visit to Mount Batten last night and saw two gorgeous plovers within the turnstone group #ukbirding
LIFER! 9 hours over four seperate occasions but I saw my 260th bird, the stunning Rose-Coloured Starling. What a beauty. Lovely chats with some brilliant birders and locals rooting for us to see it. Can't imagine there are many locals in Wembury who do not know about them! #ukbirding
