In my research, I approach #intersex as a form of innate bodily variability that shapes embodied experience, not as a fixed essence dictating identity. I focus on how body, consciousness, and cognition co-form each other within migration, culture, and lived subjectivity, rather than on gender.
Thought-provoking paper (2026) on dissociating agency and subjectivity under anesthesia.
Raises broader questions about early subjectivity and embodied integration in infancy, where experience may be present without expressible agency.

Albert Einstein was one of the early supporters of zero-point energy, a quantum principle introduced by Max Planck (right) in 1911. Einstein used it as an explanation for why molecules and crystal lattices vibrate even at their lowest energy states.
In Quantum Mechanics, Nothingness Is the Potential To Be Anything | Quanta Magazine
Try as they might, scientists can’t truly rid a space or an object of its energy. But what “zero-point energy” really means is up for interpretation.

New qualitative study highlights #intersex (VSC) perspectives on prenatal sex chromosome screening. It indicates how #geneticcounseling can unintentionally reinforce binary sex frameworks and the ethical responsibility of counselors to affirm sex & gender diversity

✨ Goodbye 2025. Hello 2026. ✨

This year was complex and very stressful. Still, even on a cold winter night, when the lights go out one by one, there is hope. May darkness not descend into our hearts.

With care, into 2026. ✨🥂
Happy New Year!

Transcribing interviews, I’m finding that some #migration experiences resist the voluntary/forced binary. They unfold as prolonged conditions of constrained, delegated mobility, shaped by partial and shifting agency across bodies, institutions, time, especially in childhood

This Christmas, I had the chance to play a socio-cultural #boardgame, Redneck Life, which reflects American social imaginaries of poverty. I was struck by which life markers are considered significant and by how life is framed as structurally determined, with minimal space for agency.

Ritz & DuBois (2025) shift the question from what sex is to how it is operationalized (classification, trait, or dynamic system), thereby refocusing the debate on research aims instead of political debates.

Watching Hamnet (Cleo Zhao - filmmaker), I was less struck by its story than by how it asks to be felt through the body. Grief and time move through silence, gesture, breath. Art doesn’t resolve loss, it carries it, gently, into shared presence.

Unbelievable 😡
“The wording of the H.R. 3492 exemption plainly states that “genital or bodily mutilation” is “not a violation” if it is performed on a child with an intersex variation. “
The US House has passed HR 3492, the most extreme gender-affirming care ban Congress has considered yet. The bill's exemption for nonconsensual surgeries on intersex children is the first that also admits they are a form of genital mutilation.

Today, the House passed H.R. 3492, a dangerous bill to criminalize gender-affirming care with an exception for nonconsensual surgeries on intersex children.

New article on #posthumanism:

Roberto Marchesini reframes embodiment as being-a-body; #embodiment remains open, processual, & unfinished.

For me, it resonates with Saketopoulou’s “Gender Without Identity,”: #gender as not fixed, relational, & continuously becoming.

Remembering my visit to “Wifredo Lam: When I Don’t Sleep, I Dream” at @moma.bsky.social this December.

The exhibition brought me back to my own liminality, to lives shaped in transition. Lam’s work embodies hybridity. It asks what remains when multiple lines of belonging intersect. #wifredolam
