During 2022 into 2023, UK inflation reached historically high levels over 10% due to energy price spikes & supply-chain pressures. By General Election it was 2·3%, it rose to 4·1% mid-2025 (airfares etc). It fell to fell to 3·2% (Nov'25) NIESR expect us to hit 2% target Q3 2026
