BGE is done sampling! 🥳
All over Europe scientists and citizen scientists took samples for BGE. Those samples needed to be transported to a lab for research, travelling thousands of kilometers. And that's not easy!

In their paper Pešić et al. discuss the phylogeny of a group of water mites (Hygrobates longipalpis complex). They also highlight a water mite species new to science! 🥳 🕷️
