#FunFactFriday Did you know hops grow on bines, not vines?

Bines are stems that twist clockwise & grow wrapping around a support structure. Vines climb using tendrils that reach out in different directions. Bines die back in winter, the root system can survive 20+ years, regrowing each spring.
