During the 2025 humpback whale breeding season, we deployed some CATS cam on adults and calves in collaboration with Cétamada Madagascar. Check some very cool footages (breaches, rubbing on the sandy floor...).

Most diving mammals must work against their buoyancy until they reach a depth where they are neutrally buoyant, but not adult baleen whales. They use their laryngeal sac filled with air to adjust their buoyancy to remain suspended effortlessly at any depth
