And DosBos-X does have an emulation layer for use IN Dos.

I've had three calls from clients this morning asking me about alternatives to Windows 11.
Obviously I mentioned Linux.
Two of them were interested & I gave them resources to look at and promised them VMs to try.
The third was all "Oh hell yeah! Let's do it!"
Microsoft doing more for Linux. Lol
