Thanks to Louie’s notes on the Candypop Buds, we have an idea on what a few of the Pikmin may taste like

Red is spicy
Yellow is sour
Blue is too tough to be eaten, he doesn’t mention a flavor
Purple is likely to be/be similar to extra virgin olive oil

And the White Bud spoils almost instantly.

40+ Years of Mario Characters

I realised that with this roster, we've almost got every previous playable character back in the game (excluding all the generic humans).

We are missing: Fly Guy, DK Jr., Sprixie Princess, Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach

The latter 2 could easily be costumes for Mario and Peach.
