Deserve means nothing in this sport. But McDermott did not *deserve* to lose his job based on his performance this year. But a fresh restart was probably necessary. That Brandon Beane is staying, based on what he put together this season, is dumbfounding

The Steelers are set up very well for a rebuild. 7 picks in the first 4 rounds this year. Move on from older vets. Not sure if feasible to trade Watt, but I’d do that. Roll with Rudolph and try to position for a 2027 QB
