Always keep in mind the least privileged transmasculine people, the ones who don't look like a man (but also not passing as a woman). Transmasculine people of color, immigrants, disabled etc..before you start sprouting off performative masculinity.

Transmasculine people often feel guilty about being "included" with the category of woman when trans women are excluded. Your instinct will be to apologize. You do not need to apologize for being coerced into de-transitioning.

It often feels like many of these surveys which are important, also are set up in a way to purposefully hide the particulars of my gendered experience, because it does not fit into a binary.

If the only time you ever acknowledge trans guys who do the work and care for the trans community is to compare them against the bad trans guys, that's not actually acknowledging or respecting transmasculine people and how integral we are to holding up trans community building.

I favor it because I think it is vital to nudge people towards being in touch with their own desires, towards being in charge or their own life. I unfortunately believe it’s a key part of staying safer in our communities and the outside world both.

Not wholly unrelated to the previous ramble - I truly detest the type of trans “support” which pretends you need to actively push people into starting hormones ‘cause society weighs against it so heavily.
I favor doing slower, more difficult work guiding someone towards knowing what they want

..but that does not take into account all the entirety of my years previous to that where I was not only unable to build resources generally considered available to men (overly broad and sweeping in its understanding) but cut out from resources given to resources for cis girls/women as well.

I did all this that society demands of wives and mothers, and I did it while suffering intense gender dysphoria, which made me unable to perform it correctly, ever. Which made the support connections-the play dates and wine mom socializing, excruciating.
