An old friend died recently. He had had a 3-legged dog named Isaac who was home alone for a while with friends looking after him. Another friend, a lovely and talented woman, decided to adopt Isaac, and my heart is a puddle now. Look at this love

Went for a short run the other day--like really short--15 steps or so, and I couldn't run anymore because I'd started flying. Forty years in hang gliding and running into the air still hasn't gotten old.

I love the magic—I know it’s not magic, it’s science—of the leaves turning in fall. This leaf had a little leaf casting a shadow on it, leaving a bright yellow pattern. Magic, I tell you!
