Bird’s nest fungi in Megan’s garden! Harmless, of course. But don’t the splash cups and spore sacs look like the name? Nidulariaceae is the family (from the Latin nidulus, meaning nestlet.) Probably there feeding on compost, of which we used much! 🌱🍄

Brought in Dahlia blooms before mild frost the other night. Plants are fine, and more flowers coming! It’s late, and later than usual, but not yet tuber time in Maine. Happy gardener! 🌱
