"Americans are tired of today's sclerotic political leadership. Experience is not such a big deal anymore because politicians with years of experience got us into today's mess. Young leaders are the future of the Party. Old fossils like Schumer are not."

"Mamdani’s remarkable success contains several important lessons which Democrats would be foolish to ignore. The first is that the age issue is real.
Second lesson: Bread and butter. That’s all Mamdani talked about. His one key issue was “affordability.”
What Democrats should learn from Zohran Mamdani
Zohran Mamdani’s remarkable success in the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City contains several important lessons for Democrats, including the need for new blood, focus on bread and…

"Trump is not on the ballot in any of those states. But he might as well be. Those three contests have become a referendum on the Orange Man: the first chance for voters to say thumbs down on Trump's second term. And it looks like he will lose all three."

"In many ways, Trump’s destruction of the East Wing is a metaphor for his entire administration: forget applicable law, tradition, precedent, or protocol, act as if you have absolute power, do whatever you want, and crush anything that gets in the way."
It’s not his house, it’s our house. And he’s destroyed it.
President Trump has demolished the historic East Wing of the White House to make room for a $300 million ballroom, funded by private donors, which is a metaphor for his administration’s disre…

Check out this exchange with @anatosaurus.bsky.social on why the Democrats need to get real and strengthen their language when describing the regime the GOP is imposing on America. The word "pedophile" comes up. As it should.

Along with setting the agenda to be favorable to Democratic candidates, we need to blunt the GOP's "issues" by literally PERFORMING our own narrative. Spoiler alert: @anatosaurus.bsky.social cites The Portland Frog and the other inflatables.

According to @anatosaurus.bsky.social , Democrats spend too much time polling and not enough time setting the agenda. Not the GOP. Setting the agenda means the political battle is fought on the terms of the Party setting the agenda.

"Trump's destruction of the East Wing is the perfect metaphor for his 2nd term. In 10 months, he has bulldozed everything we once thought untouchable: the Constitution, the DOJ, the FBI, the DOD, the NIH, and USAID. To that list now add: the White House."
