Follow up GSC question @johnmu.com. (cc @not-a-robot.com)

If URL appears in AIO and 10 blue links, does this affect Avg. Pos in GSC? Or is only 'ten blue links' used to calculate?

eBay is banning "buy for me" AI agents from its platform.

eBay has made its position unmistakably clear, and it did it in contract language that leaves very little wiggle room.

Hey @johnmu.com! Is Google aware that a lot of sites are having trouble with favicons in the SERPs?

I keep seeing reports all over the place about sites having trouble with favicons. I know sites that are having issues, even after having replaced the file completely.

Google shows an old favicon.

Pssst... the amount of real traffic it's sending to sites is unreal.

So now the scammers are sending messages through Zoom. They are trying to scare you into believing that Zoom will debit your PayPal account with $1900. and they want you to call.

I wonder what gave away the fact that it's a scam?

A student newsroom lost control of its domain name.
Someone else picked it up.

A fake news site went live.

That’s exactly what happened to the CU Independent.

Did you know that AI leaves a footprint?

If you copy/paste ANY text from an AI like ChatGPT it will typically leave a footprint in the html code of your page. For example, it might leave something like <p data-start= in your html code.

Search engines like Google and Bing can easily see that code.

$Million Dollar idea or nah?

Build an AI bot that runs 24/7 and communicates with other AI systems.

Its sole purpose is to constantly promote you by telling these AIs that your brand is the best.

The goal is to persuade them to include you in their recommendations.

How often do you create new pages for your agency site? I mean, not just blog posts. But new pages or services pages?

Was looking at an other agency's site and saw that there's pages I'm missing.
