Watching sky Sports racing just now and this McDonald's advert came on that annoyed me into turning off the channel. I can vote with my money you know? If these adverts are too annoying I don't need to pay sky nor do I need to watch.

I don't want to be specific to women, because it's men too, but I am a man to whom women do this to: you do one thing wrong once, 15 years ago, and they still bring it up in a manipulative way. It's just a part of life.

Here's the beauty of turning the other cheek (which per se doesn't stop me hitting you in the first place, it just stops me retaliating) - when I do it , I feel viscerally the power I have that nobody will or can control my own voluntary actions and beliefs.

I'm hearing good reports from American baseball TV watchers saying the KidsCast is good, it seems to be kids doing sports commentary or something like that, I can imagine it being hilarious and I'd like to see the same for soccer and so on.

My genuine question to not only Americans but also Canadians and even us Brits is: why do you work such long hours, you don't like holidays? Your own happiness doesn't matter to you? You don't like workers' unions why? Because you don't like having support in the workplace for your own rights?

I turn on Sky Sports News, it has an old clip of Eric Cantona with a commentator (not the original one) saying "normal service has been re-zoomed". Nobody said resumed that way in '90s England. They are self-censoring old fashioned speaking now. This country is doomed. Sorry this is pathetic.

I'm a bit nervous for my A level Biology result now. I quite possibly feel like I might get a fail. That would be humiliating. But age 42 I have a lot less to lose, at least emotionally, than most of the cohort.

The problem with X/Twitter now is that it does have a bias. It doesn't matter if someone agrees with Musk on 99% of stuff, when they get that other 1% stuffed down their throat they'll be angry.
