Lawrence Goodall,81 is an independent, who voted for Spanberger. He said the the Trump administrations actions are what are driving him to vote.

“The Trump agenda is something I had to vote against,” Goodall said.

Lexy Echard, a teacher in Henrico County said some key issues for her our education and reproductive rights. Echard voted for Spanberger. At the prospect of Virginia’s first female she said “I’m excited, I’m pumped,” Echard said.

Heather Trung, 23 is a sophomore engineer and is a consistent voter. She says the impacts of the government shutdown are driving her vote. “This is my first time working a government shutdown and seeing that whole process,” Trung said.
