people keep pointing out, reasonably, that the US cannot "afford" all this war with all the domestic struggles, but taxing the shit out of young, working renters for imperial gains held by oligarchs is classic economic discipline. stay beholden to your boomer parents' hoarded assets or die poor.

love this. also thinking about the 2bed/2bath apartment - in new builds I see, that floor plan tends to rent *very* high, and that price + two ensuite baths makes it feel like it's marketed to entry-level professionals who are willing to room with other entry-level professionals.
