The part of growing as a person no one talks about is how much it sucks to leave people you cared about behind. I went back to my home state for the first time in 7 years this summer and it wasn’t home anymore. I hate what trumpism has done to my home and the people I knew.

Some days I feel like I’m caught in a toxic relationship with the other place. I find myself going back for rage engagements. Like I know this is a better place for me, but I haven’t completely broken the cycle
