Finding my way, one day at a time. Trying to find joy in the simple things.
Baked this "Basic Cake" today. Spent 30 mins trying to find where I got it from. No luck. I remember watching the video and jotting down the directions because she didn't have a printable recipe version. I did the lemon version because I had zest and juice in the freezer. Good, would recommend.

Week 52

Well, that is a year of weekly haiku. Some were good, some were bad. All were worthy of my time. I'm happy I did it. Big Red says,"Hi." Onward.

Week 50

Back on theme this week with nature haiku. The weather has been chilly with alternating snow and freezing rain. I've been hunkering down where it's warm but ventured out for this lone pic.

Some have been good, some have been bad. It's been interesting for me.

Thank you for the "hearts" and encouraging comments over the last year. Wishing you all a safe and happy remainder of 2025.

Our first winter hike of season. It was a lovely day. I love winter. The snow had a perfect crunch.

Best time to experience nature. No one is bugging me if I stop to look up or stoop to look down. By no one, I mean mosquitoes and horseflies. Unfortunately, not so lucky with the damn ticks. Sheesh!

Was so delighted to see this bee, bird, moth, creature. Then disappointed the camera didn't catch how beautifully detailed the wings were. He was bopping all over the butterfly bush. So cool.

As someone who has recently stepped into the freelance space, having chunks of time in between jobs isn’t something I’ve figured out yet. I’m putting this out there in hopes there’s an opportunity that would work for me during this time.
