Today we have an enhanced risk for severe weather in the northeastern corner of Colorado. A slight risk extends to Sterling & nearly Burlington. This includes a 2% tornado risk, a 30% hatched (significantly severe) wind risk, & a 5% hail risk. Earlier start 5 pm, to storms possible.

Today we have another slight risk for severe weather here in northeastern Colorado. It includes a 2% tornado risk, 15% hail risk, & 15% severe wind risk. Pretty similar setup to the last 3 days. We could expect storms to develop around 5 or 6 pm and go until around 11 pm.

Most of the eastern plains of Colorado are under a Red Flag Warning and most of the counties under the Red Flag Warning are also under a High Wind Watch. Logan, Morgan, & eastern Weld Counties are also under a High Wind Watch.

Parts of the eastern Colorado plains have a Red Flag Warning meaning conditions are favorable for rapid wildfirefire growth. The conditions helping this are the temperature, high winds, & low relative humidity

Today we will see abnormally warm temperatures for this time of the year with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Our relative humidity will be as low as 4% in parts of northeastern Colorado. The gusts could be up to 35 mph.

Wanted to show the current temperatures, wind speed, & wind gusts in northeastern Colorado. It's a little breezy this morning but this afternoon & overnight we could see gusts pick up. Possibly we may see up to 40 mph gusts in the far northeastern corner of the state.

Our friends up in the mountains could see a good amount of snow this morning. This afternoon there's a chance for some rain near the northern I25 corridor. Those showers could turn into snow overnight. Very minimal rain/snow is expected for the northeastern plains.

We're In The Clear!! It's still windy out there in portions of Colorado, especially along the Kansas border & far northeastern Nebraska border. Tomorrow looks partly cloudy with temps in the mid-50s. We could see a wintery mix come Thursday evening/night.

First reports of hail in northeastern Colorado this year, as I'm aware of. Roughly half an inch. It was reported to BigDawgWx on Facebook by MarknKristi Dix near Lone Star Schools in Washington County, CO at roughly 7 pm.

Right now it looks like the biggest issue with this upcoming storm is going to be visibility. The temperature throughout the region will only be below freezing for a short time so I don't see a lot of accumulation, with wind also blowing it around.
